Paul Simard

Isolation. Overwhelm. Pain. Inadequate. We can all be touched by these emotions. We wander, like a river flowing aimlessly, with few places to turn. Men are taught to hide, suppress their emotions.
Yet, can a man allow himself to be vulnerable, to courageously embrace what lies within? What if men found safe spaces to open up to those around them?

About Paul Simard

Paul is the founder of orange ecosystems design – a Montreal-based firm that helps organizations to better understand, engage and activate the communities and ecosystems in which they live – and huMENity – a peer-driven platform that creates safe spaces for men of all ages to come together and grow through an openness to be vulnerable, share and support each other, based on the African greeting of sawubona, i.e. seeing the other in a deep, connected way. He is also Director of Community and Impact Partnerships for the United Nations High Commission for Refugees, Quebec Division, where he engages and partners with Quebec individuals, foundations and corporations tackling the challenges facing refugees around the world.

Paul also has three beautiful daughters, who are the motivation behind all he does.
