The Main Theme for TEDxLaval 2018
Laval, April 11, 2018 – The wait is over! TEDxLaval is back for a third year in a row, with talented speakers brought together under the theme “Links and Anchors”. If you are wondering about what the future holds for us as human beings and for our respective communities, join us on May 23 at 5:00 PM at the Maison des Arts de Laval to enjoy an entertaining and thought-provoking experience. Over 250 people will gather around innovative and creative concepts that are sure to initiate discussions and constructive actions.
An event closely linked to Laval’s reach
Connected to the vision of the City of Laval, each year TEDxLaval is committed to share inspiring ideas and bring about positive changes in society. Gildo Conte, Curator and Organizer of the TEDx event in Laval, and proud citizen of the city, often points out: “A community’s identity is built on the interplay of ideas and sharing of values. As such, TEDxLaval helps create and tell our collective story by extending our reach at home and abroad. »
Creativity through understanding
Throughout the evening at TEDxLaval 2018, leading and engaging thinkers will share their knowledge and passion, speaking on a topic they feel strongly about in 18 minutes or less, based on the formula TED is so well known for. (Please note that there will be talks in both English and French.)

About TED
TED’s mission is to spread ideas that are worth sharing. Since 2007, all TED talks are posted on the TED.com site for the general public, totally free of charge. The short format of the talks, which are limited to 18 minutes, enables the sharing and spreading of ideas across the Web and social networks. Public figures such as Bill Gates, Jane Goodall, Elizabeth Gilbert, Sir Richard Branson, and Philippe Starck have already joined in the exercise. Today, conferences have been viewed by over 500 million people throughout the world, and TED is the largest YouTube customer.
