For the past 30 years, data insights have led to significant breakthroughs in optimizing and enhancing public transit management. Today, those insights result in a better quality of services provided to the population. Indeed, we now have tools that enable us to remotely have an impact on our customers’ heart rates and moods. And I believe the best is yet to come.

About Guy Picard

With a passion for math, and a keen interest in improving and modeling the world around him one equation at a time, Guy Picard earned a Ph.D. in transport economics from the Université de Montréal’s Centre for Research on Transportation in 1987.

For over 35 years, after transitioning from a researcher to a practitioner, he has consistently been attempting to better understand human behaviours and mobility systems. He is currently General Manager of the Société de transport de Laval, which is at the forefront of technology innovation in North America.
